How to Set Up TrackMyPilot

Follow these simple steps to get started

JBU uses FLICA for scheduling. You'll export your schedule directly from the FLICA app or website each month.

You'll need to repeat this export step each month when your new schedule is published.

Export from FLICA:

  • Open the FLICA app or log in at the FLICA website
  • Navigate to the Schedule section for the month you want to import
  • Just below the calendar, find the dropdown menu
  • Tap Export from the dropdown
  • Select V2 Calendar (.ics)
  • Save the .ics file to your phone or device — you'll upload it in the next step

Upload Your Schedule:

  • Visit the Dashboard
  • Find the Upload Schedule section and upload the .ics file you saved in Step 1
  • Confirm your name and email address

    • Display Setup:

  • Select your preferred Timezone Display. This is where you'll be viewing the information — probably your house
  • If you don't want a clock displayed in fullscreen mode, disable Show Clock
  • If you're not a military member, disable military leave options
  • Choose which photos you'd like to display for each event — or upload your own! How do I manage pictures?

📅 Each month when your new schedule is published, repeat Step 1 and re-upload the new .ics file. Your previous schedule will be replaced automatically.

Easy Display in a Web Browser

The simplest way to display your calendar is to open it directly in any web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer.

  • Visit the Dashboard
  • Copy the Calendar View url. It should look like www.trackmypilot.com/calendar/12312300
  • Open the link in any web browser - bookmark it for easy access!

ADVANCED Dedicated Display Options

For a more polished setup, you can display your calendar on a dedicated device. See the sections below for detailed instructions on setting up an iPad, PC, DAKboard, or Home Assistant integration.

Turn an iPad into a dedicated calendar display that stays on and always shows your schedule.

Set Your Home Page:

  • Open Safari and navigate to your TrackMyPilot calendar URL
  • Tap the Share icon (square with arrow) at the top
  • Select Add to Home Screen to create an app-like shortcut

Keep the Screen On:

  • Open iPad Settings → Display & Brightness
  • Tap Auto-Lock and select Never
  • Consider enabling Guided Access (Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access) to lock the iPad to your calendar app

Use a Windows or Mac computer as a dedicated calendar display by setting up your browser to launch automatically.

Set Your Home Page:

  • Open your preferred browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)
  • Go to browser settings and set your TrackMyPilot calendar URL as the homepage or startup page
  • Press F11 to enter full-screen mode for a clean display

Keep the Screen On:

  • Windows: Go to Settings → System → Power & sleep → Set screen to Never turn off
  • Mac: Go to System Settings → Displays → Advanced → Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off
  • Add your browser to startup programs so it launches automatically when the computer turns on

DAKboard is a customizable wall display that shows calendars, weather, photos, and widgets on a dedicated screen. You can purchase a complete DAKboard kit with a Raspberry Pi and display, or run the DAKboard software on your own hardware connected to any monitor or TV.   • Visit the Dashboard again
  • Copy the Calendar View url . It should look like www.trackmypilot.com/calendar/12312300
  • Log into your DAKboard account and select your custom screen
  • Click ADD A BLOCK
  • Search 'website' and select Website/iframe
  • Enter the TrackMyPilot URL you copied above in the URL field, and select Automatic in the Refresh Rate dropdown
  • Drag the widget to where you'd like it displayed on your DAKboard

Home Assistant is very dynamic. These directions are a general overview. Variables such as aspect ratio, screen size, layout, number of columns, surrounding cards, etc. are beyond the scope of these directions. Please feel free to reach out with specific questions.

  • Visit the Dashboard again
  • Copy the Calendar View url . It should look like www.trackmypilot.com/calendar/12312300
  • Log into your Home Assistant and visit the page you'd like to display TrackMyPilot on
  • Click Pencil (top right) to edit the screen
  • Click the plus where you'd like to add a card
  • Add a Website card in the desired column
  • Enter the TrackMyPilot URL you copied above in the URL field
  • Don't forget to adjust size in the layout tab!
